Bobby and the Chimps is a contemporary play about a school board election and deals with the issue of teaching creationism and evolution in the classroom. It concentrates on one man's struggle to come to terms with a troubled marriage and a growing faith. The costumes reflect a small community close to New York City. They echo the relationships between Bobby and the women that surround him: his wife, his mistress, and his former girlfriend.
